Fans, abstinence experts stunned by Lady Gaga's celibacy message PDF Print E-mail

Despite her risque stage persona, singer says she is celibate, encourages others.

Her music videos look like orgies. Her outfits are outrageous, consisting mostly of skimpy lingerie. Her lyrics? Sexually explicit and often unprintable.

That's why Lady Gaga critics and fans alike were stunned when the megastar publicly proclaimed it's a good idea to practice celibacy.

"It's kind of a paradox," said Tim Driscoll, who teaches abstinence education in area schools and churches through Jacksonville-based Project SOS.
